Home, Hope & Healing was started in 2002 by two sisters, Jane Greenblatt and Jill Lufkin-Robinson. Both Jill and Jane
are Registered Nurses and they continue to own and manage the company today. The company started in the fall of 2002
with one nurse and one client. The agency was started in a spare bedroom in Jill's home. Both sisters had a vision and
a passion for medically fragile adults and children. They saw the need for intense, comprehensive skilled nursing
services that did not just focus on "staffing" but on clinical outcomes. Our goal was to give patients the option of
remaining in their homes with their loved ones while receiving the medical interventions they so badly needed.
The idea of Home, Hope & Healing really began to take shape in the mid-90s. During that time, Jill had the opportunity to
care for an adolescent in an ICU setting who was ventilator dependent. She saw firsthand the determination of her
parents and the obstacles they faced as they strived to bring their daughter home. There were limited home health
agencies with the staff to care for a person on a ventilator with a tracheostomy. Jill had the privilege of working
with a home health agency to train their staff in this young girl’s care. This transition from ICU to home was successful
and is what inspired the birth of Home, Hope & Healing 5 years later.
While Jill worked in ICU her sister Jane moved from working in a CCU setting to the role of a school RN. In this setting
she cared for over 300 children many with medical and other special care needs. She worked with parents and advocated for
their children to get the services and care that they needed. This "training" has been huge in helping us create care that
is family focused.
Home, Hope & Healing has provided quality care for 100's of clients over the last 15 years. We have long since moved from
the office in Jill's spare bedroom and are now located in Smithfield on Route 8/137. We specialize in Pediatrics and in
home ventilator management for clients with spinal cord injuries or those challenged with symptoms from neurological disease
such as ALS. We have hundreds of professional caregivers providing a wide variety of care throughout the state.
Jill and Jane added a behavioral health division to the homecare division, and created Aspire Behavioral Health & Counseling
in the Fall of 2014. It was their desire to branch into Behavioral Health Services because many of their pediatric clients had a
need for these services, particularly those with dual diagnoses of medical and behavior needs. We provide assistance to
children and adults who are challenged by developmental delays, behavioral issues and complex care management needs. We
specialize in bringing multiple providers together so that our clients receive the most comprehensive care available in Maine. We
continue to grow this division which provides services for Section 28 – Community Support Workers, HCT Services - Behavioral
Health Professionals along with Case Management with social workers providing services to children.
Our goal is to continue to be the leader in delivering skilled nursing services to medically complex children and adults with
long term care needs in their homes. This is accomplished through the trained and highly skilled professional and paraprofessional
staff that make up our team.
